Wishcasting Wednesday – Dare

My thanks to Wishcasting Wednesdays for today’s meme

What do you wish to dare?

I wish to dare that I…

I dare to let go of the sad stories I’ve reasoned into a tightly woven shroud around my inner child, because she is me and I not we simply don’t look good in those colors. Not to mention I keep tripping over the hem when I dance. Pfft.

I dare to remember that I am the fearless laughing girl who will take anybody up on any dare anywhere, just because it’s always fun to see what happens next . Especially if there’s a cherry on top.

I dare to remember myself and be true to my gifts. I’ve kissed the friggin’ Blarney Stone! Wearing a miniskirt! Who says writing my novels to done and getting them happily published has to be painfully difficult for me? Double pfft. And ptui.

Wishcasting Wednesday – Bloom

My thanks to Wishcasting Wednesdays for today’s meme

How do you wish to bloom?

I wish to bloom with immanence along every line of my being – that my heart, mind, body and spirit be woven and supported in tendrils of joy and laughter, adorned with glowing chakra-blossoms of love and creativity, passion and fearlessness, wisdom and gratitude, and fierce grace that brooks no denial of life.

I wish to bloom with wave and wind and sand and sun, dancing in the liminal space and remembering that starlight and fog shelter the moonlit tendrils of my dreams until I manifest them in poem and story.

I wish to bloom with robust health and gentle strength and sweeping possibility for myself and everyone I touch

*8 Things – Standing in Your Own Power

My thanks to Magpie Girl for today’s *8 Things meme.  I don’t think I can keep it to only 8 things that I want to remind myself of, or to offer to others, so here are 8 Things I know about standing in your own power, plus maybe a few extra – a few of them cribbed from / credited to others:

  1. Everything changes form eventually – the only constant is love, so keep a soft heart.
  2. Gravity and conventional wisdom both go “that” way, but you don’t always have to follow either one of them.
  3. Put hope out there for the world to see and taste.
  4. Pain is merely a message that it’s time to pay attention.
  5. Trust your instincts and speak your truth – this includes admitting mistakes.
  6. Dwell in possibility.
  7. Breathe.
  8. Play.
  9. If you’re going through hell, keep going. –Churchill
  10. Dance, when you’re broken open.
Dance, if you’ve torn the bandage off.
Dance in the middle of the fighting.
    Dance in your blood.
    Dance, when you’re perfectly free.
