On a shallower note, thanks to Dave Barry’s new blog, I am received of the happy news that today is the 50th anniversary of one of my favorite thingies - Peeps! Happy Golden Jubilee, little dudes! Now c’mere so I can bite your heads off.
News Flash - apparently my lobbying attempt has failed and sour apple martinis are not considered a fruit by Weight Watchers. Guess that means that the chocolate martinis aren’t a complete protein either, huh? Blast and damn!

Thanks to skippy for this link to a beauteous table (ooh, with colors… shiny!) laying out the bare bones of the Shrub’s illustrious military career. Oh yeah, this is a guy I want deciding who gets to go fight and become juicy, meaty receptacles for shrapnel and other assorted projectiles. I feel a screed coming on, but I really need more coffee first.

My thanks… erm, rather, my acknowledgement of The Lorax’s latest contribution: Pikachu hors d’oeuvres. Given his last Pikachu-related email to me, a link (which I have now sadly lost) to a home video of a small Korean-meatball/drop-kickable-type dog getting jiggy with a Pikachu plushie doll, I have to wonder just what he’s been sniffing.

Happy Noodles!!! I met up with my first blogger in meatspace yesterday after work. No, Kat, you don’t count ‘cuz I met you first in meatspace through NaNoWriMo, nor does The Shadow, ‘cuz I knew him way before that - not that you’re not both all-important to me now ;-> I got to meet Armed Liberal live and in person, and he’s just as engaging and articulate in person as he is on his blog. I do hope that it’s the start of a beautiful friendship, as well as a harbinger of other blogger meetings to come.

I got a bunch (well, three - technically a triad or troika, even, but “bunch” sounds more impressive) of moles removed yesterday evening by my cute, flirtatious and slightly wacky dermatologist and am feeling quite holey, albeit a bit poked and sore and somewhat cranky. Oh, and maybe partially dislocated, on account of how one of the spots was smack in the middle of my right shoulderblade and my left arm just doesn’t bend that far without a bouncer escorting me somewhere in the process… ah well. I’m getting creative with q-tips and tweezers, I tell ya. Necessity is… but I do feel untakencareof on the home front. Wanted to ask the hubby who’s still living there even though we’re divorcing to bandage me up this morning, but he was still asleep in his lair and it just wasn’t worth the hassle of dealing with the mood and the scowling and stuff. Gotta goop up with Neosporin and then Band-Aid over until enough tissue granulates back up that I no longer bleed or ooze or anything, but whatta pain in the… well, various locations, actually. Luckily, I work with nice people who don’t gross out too easily, so I was able to get my bad bandaging job (kinda stuck the sticky part over the hole, instead of to either side of it - OUCH!) remedied without further ado once I’d arrived at the office and made sad eyes at a coworker.
Note to self : must immediately grow eyes on the back of my head and and extra joint between shoulder and elbow so as to have bendy-straw arms. This will also facilitate completion of Step 43 in my Path to World Domination.
