Whackadoodle Toodloo Oo Oo Oo

This would be the “catching up on everything at once” post, for all three of you who bother to show up and read my mutterings every so often. Also, it reminds me of where I am and where I’ve been - like Cliff Notes for my life.

Cleaned up a few things. Been doing this for over five years now - my blogoversary was September 3rd - and I think it’s time for a polish on a few bits. Since the blogging has slowed to a trickly I keep thinking I’ll stop blogging altogether, but I like it. I like talking to myself out loud and onscreen. And fewer people look at me funny when I talk to myself here.

Da Goddess reminds us that it’s time for boobies again. Must remember to get good titty shot this next week for the cause. No doubt TGP will be pleased to help me. In the meanwhile, go donate:

Leaving for Hawaii in a few more days. Happy to go relax on the beach, drink fruity alcoholic drinks (note to self - avoid poking eye out with little umbrella), and celebrate my marriage to the wonderfullest man by ogling Mother Pele’s house from a helicopter.

Just started grad school at Emperor’s College of Oriental Medicine - that’s acupuncture school to you readers three. I mentioned this to Armed Liberal a few weeks back and he ever so wittily replied, “Do they know about you?” Ah, with friends like that…

Was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about a month ago. Started taking vitamins and herbal supplements and moving a bit more. One of my classes at Emperor’s is Tai Chi, which is neato… first class was last Saturday, a year to the day that I blew out my ankle. A bit of a tendonitis flare-up, nothing major, was more than compensated for by the space we practiced in - small park in Santa Monica a few blocks from the beach, under shaggy eucalyptus trees amidst drifting fog. Purty, calming, centering, verra good. Happy to get back in the saddle, even if it’s just the kiddie ride at the petting zoo. Apparently baby steps are what I’m supposed to be taking, will it or no.

Jewelry zen is. Orders come in, I can’t fill them fast enough because I keep needing more sleep than I can get, orders go out. Like breathing, that way. Jewelry zen is. I have resolved to cut back on my recent eBay spate of madness… there are so many pretty shiny things out there and so little time to gather all the precioussnessss to me…

Puppies are healthy and gorgeous and fuzzy and wonderful. Parents are coming to stay at our house and dog-sit while we’re gone next week, which should be an interesting adventure for everybody involved. Most frazzlesome stuff this week revolves around getting the place picked up enough for the ‘rents to enjoy it while we’re basking in volcano-land. Gotta write down how to use the TIVO, lock up the good scotch and hide the vibrators.

Just googled both toodleoo and toodloo:

    Both cambridge and etymological dictionarys..

So, folks, what is the origin of this expression? I had assumed it was derived from french - possibly arriving here during WW1.

    Any ideas?
