Hmm, OCD Much?
On Day 1 of Nano, with nary a word of Two Hands For Drinking written a whole 12 hours into the day, I’m finding myself compelled to download every single one of these Best Book lists onto a spreadsheet, then cross-reference and index each book by: a) frequency of appearance on all the lists listed; b) whether or not I’ve read it; c) alphabetical order; and d) anything else I can come up with. Human brains are hard-wired to organize and sort. It’s not my fault. Nor is it just a distraction from writing. I probably NEED to do this – it’ll contribute to world peace or something, I’m sure.
