There’s A Dead Snail Under Buddha’s Armpit

Well, when I last posted, there was. Since then, I’ve:

  • turned 35
  • met with a counselor at Antioch to complete my degree in Creative Writing
  • ridden a bicycle 16 miles from Ojai to Ventura (and my knees only hurt the last mile)
  • gotten several massages – both deep tissue and Swedish
  • formed an Avon Walk team called Project Blister with a couple of other like-minded folks
  • made red hot monkey love in a tree house
  • been lazy about doing my physical therapy for my knees every day
  • had a poem accepted for publication in August
  • gone to counseling at the Santa Monica Rape Treatment Center
  • joined a writing group
  • found out that I broke my neck in a car accident 13 years ago and now have arthritis and a dry disk between C6 and C7
  • posted a Regional Roundup at Winds of Change
  • not gotten a raise at the dayjob
  • started my own business
  • volunteered with Spirit of America
  • taken my Mini in for service due to a weird sensor outage
  • discovered that I really do need to take my asthma medication
  • decided to get licensed as a massage therapist
  • bought a Hawaiian Luau quilt from Pottery Barn for my bed
  • ridden my motorcycle
  • scheduled a whole new round of physical therapy for my neck

And now I’m going to go eat Thai food and make a list of what I need to take with me this weekend to Buyu Camp. By the way, the dead snail is gone.
