Oh gawd! I’m an endangered sub-species! Quick, to the Bat-Salon! Time to take on some protective coloring and go auburn! Or maybe a nice turquoise.

Thanks again to The Shadow for the link to oblivio for the link to nasty :: fiction :: academia at its brattiest - I am newly in awe of both and inspired to write something about catching flies with chopsticks in the back of my mind while fucking a ticket taker at an off-Broadway show for orchestra seats.
My thanks to The Shadow for this fun bit of flirting with letters.
As I was pushing a palette full of disassembled rain gutter bits and bobs through Home Depot, I was fantasizing about how cool it would be to actually run into Sgt.Stryker or another blogger there in the store - one who would magically recognize me and be suitably impressed at my ability to not only bang out deathless prose and commentary (heh) but also build stuff. Then I ran into another yuppie with the business end of a downspout and got back to reality. Several hours later, I’m back in virtual reality, not writing what I’m supposed to be writing today but murgling to y’all instead, and grateful to devra for this amazing series of commentary on Artists vs. Techies from bodyandsoul.
I have been utterly remiss in giving Sgt. Stryker his props, I gotta say. That boy rawks!
Got some fanspam from DocNebula about my word count - he charmingly failed to snicker at its lack of progress. Maybe it should take that emode test about its greatest fear… Anyhoo, go read DocNebula’s alarmingly homemade blog - he’s funny and opinionated and recalcitrant about cramming all his writings into a 60 character-wide column ;->
‘Rampant Rabbit’ Sex Toys Recalled in Safety Scare - uh oh. Does this mean I have to turn mine in? Waaa….
Finally got off my keister and put up links to two folks whose blogs I’ve been slurping up for a while - Devra and the Armed Liberal. Both feature fine writing from human beings.
