Friday Five: Lineage
Here’s my Friday Five:
1. What is your lineage? Where are your ancestors from? Scots-Irish, English and German.
2. Of those countries, which would you most like to visit? I’d have to echo Scotland, definitely. Especially considering that I spent a week there a number of years ago but was drunk the whole time, so I don’t remember much. Gotta stay out of the pubs (mostly) next time ;->
3. Which would you least like to visit? Why? Probably Germany, but only because I’d love to go back to Ireland and Scotland first, then go on to the Continent.
4. Do you do anything during the year to celebrate or recognize your heritage? Brag about my green eyes being adequate for St. Patty’s Day – sometimes drink a beer in tribute.
5. Who were the first ancestors to move to your present country (parents, grandparents, etc)? Goes way back to the 1600′s for sure – allegedly I’m a descendent of one of the three Towney sisters who were hung for witchcraft at Salem (bastards!).
